Beckhoff employs operating systems from Microsoft for its PC-based control technology. As a Microsoft Windows Embedded Gold Partner, Beckhoff gains early and intensive access to Microsoft technologies. This partnership-like cooperation is of great advantage to both sides: it enables optimum integration of Beckhoff automation products in the Microsoft world, while Microsoft can utilise the experiences with PC-based control technology for optimising its products for automation requirements.
